Mobile Bar Hire Environmental Policy

We are proud to be the first bar company in the UK to commit to a progressive environmental policy. Our policy has been written with support from EcoEvents.com and currently consists of the following targets:

  • Bar waste packaging and receptacles will be recycled or, if possible, composted.
  • All compostable bar waste will be taken off site and composted.
  • Ice receptacles will be used to chill drinks instead of diesel refrigeration units unless agreed otherwise.
  • All Bars by Design printed material will be on recycled paper and, where possible, we will communicate electronically.
  • Bars by Design bars will use FSC wood, local fabric suppliers, and bamboo bars will be offered as an eco-friendly alternative to all clients.
  • We will encourage the use of compostable plastics when plastic glassware is necessary.
  • All company vehicles, including those required for group transportation of staff, will be run on diesel and begin the transition to bio-diesel in 2008.
  • Carbon-management, including calculation and compensation for your mobile bar service and event will be made available as an additional service through EcoEvents.com and CLEVEL.
